New Music: Tink Drops ‘Ratchet Commandments’

Rapper-singer Tink just dropped “Ratchet Commandments,” the first official single off of her debut album. The song is based off of Biggie’s “Ten Crack Commandments,” and bluntly questions the values of today’s youth.

In it, the 19-year-old Chi-town native raps,“I thought we had some young queens, what you mean? We act belligerent, generation of ignorance.” She quickly follows up with, “B*tches live for the ‘gram, so they life ain’t got no significance. Boy, this shit be a trip like Expedia. She won’t pick up a book, but she’ll probably bust it open for social media.” (Ouch!)

Tink transitions through verses, and flows over the Timbaland produced track just as effortless as that line read. And before you go accusing her of perpetuating a double standard, the self-proclaimed feminist has a few choice words for men too. Have a listen below, and let me know what you think!
